Life as a Seasonnaire

Two months in a seaside town representing one of the biggest British brands.
The best summer job?
I think it could be.

Jack Wills Seasonnaires are brand ambassadors who live the Jack Wills' lifestyle. In the UK there are four summer seasonal locations: Aldeburgh, Salcombe, Rock and Abersoch. With the aim of increasing brand awareness and driving footfall into store, a girl and a boy are sent to each location where they are based for the summer.

Having never heard of Aldeburgh before, the concept of moving to a town I didn't know and living with a boy I barely knew was daunting to say the least. However, within days of being there I felt as if I had known Will for years.

As Seasonnaires, we were expected to work in store for a minimum of 12 hours a week. I had never worked in a store before but with the Jack Wills in Aldeburgh being so small, I very quickly got the gist of it all. We worked closely with the store staff as they knew the area best and had an idea of what people in Aldeburgh would like to happen in their town.

In terms of marketing, one of our main strategies was social media. Through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, our aims were to deliver brand message, engage audience and drive people to engage with the products. We also had to gather content at all times using the GoPro.

In addition to this, it was our responsibility to execute events throughout the summer. These needed to be specific to our location, tailoring them to suit the area and the people there. In our last week in Aldeburgh we held a party at the Yacht Club which was a huge success. We kitted the marquee out with Jack Wills branding and threw party pants and Seasonnaire T-shirts into the crowd throughout the night. Check out the following video I made from the night...

Being a Seasonnaire was the most incredible experience which I am so lucky to have had.

Here are some of my favourite memories:
- Wills 21st Birthday
- The Marmalade Ball
- Aldeburgh Carnival
- The Jack Wills Closing Party
- The Thorpeness Fireworks

Thank you Jack Wills for the best summer, I will never forget my time in Aldeburgh and the friendships I made.

The Marmalade Ball

The Thorpeness Meare is a boating lake like no other.
Dug by hand, the lake with its islands covers sixty acres and has  over 40 acres of water.

Every year the Marmalade Ball is held at the Thorpeness Meare. For many, this is the event of year and I now know why.

This year the theme was Moulin Rouge, so as you can imagine it was all about feather boas, head dresses and bow ties.
The marquee itself was quite literally a scene from the movie, taking us all out of Thorpeness and to Paris for the night.

We decided to go all out and bought a dinner ticket. With all the entertainment and the amazing food, it was well worth it.

Can-can and burlesque dancers kept us entertained with an extremely impressive pre dinner performance.

Following the dinner was a live band and dancing then a DJ taking us into the early hours of the morning. To finish the night, we all rowed back home across the meare - not your normal transport home!

Overall such a special night, I will definitely be back next year.

Larsson & Jennings

"CONTEMPORARY WATCHES FUSING SWEDISH MINIMALISTIC DESIGN AND BRITISH HERITAGE"

Simplistic
Sophisticated
Elegant

Larsson and Jennings watches are minimalistic, combining both fashion and function.
The watch dial follows a simple design and comes in either black or white.
It's the vast range of straps which makes each and every watch unique to wear and own as you like. With the KULÖR, RESURGENCE, ANIMAL and LTD EDITION Collections, you can be sure to find a style to suit you.

Collaborating with The Yacht Week, Larsson and Jennings created the LTD Edition L&J X TYW Watch and gave four lucky winners the holiday of a lifetime. As the sponsors of TYW, every skipper this summer was wearing the collaboration LTD Edition watch.

"NOTHING MORE EMBODIES THE FUSION OF SWEDEN & BRITAIN  THAN THE YACHT WEEK"

Like every skipper on Yacht Week, the Jack Wills crew were also lucky enough to be given a surprise L&J watch the night before leaving. The boys were all kitted out with the LTD Edition L&J X TYW watch and the girls were each given a different style of the KULÖR strap. I was given the Windsor strap with a black and gold face. The red and blue striped strap is quite simply beautifully British. These watches really are timeless, their simplicity means they can be worn from day to day - I quite literally haven't taken mine off!

The Yacht Week Croatia

At the end of July I was lucky enough to go on The Yacht Week in Croatia with Jack Wills. We took the red route, starting and finishing in Split ACI Marina.

SPLIT - HVAR - VIS - SOLTA

After spending a week in a sun-drenched paradise on the sea, I think it's natural to still be suffering from post-holiday blues. The Yacht Week takes you out of reality to a place where every individual shares the same energy, enthusiasm and positivity.

"THE YACHT WEEK IS ONE WEEK OF SAILING WITH YOUR BEST FRIENDS. IT'S NOTHING LIKE THE REAL WORLD"

The Yacht Week is unlike any other holiday; it's an adventure. Each and everyday you visit a different location with the new people you meet, all of whom have one thing in common: to have a good time.

After such an incredible week it's so difficult to pick out the highlights. However, these are some of my favourite parts:

The Crew Boat Party, Hvar
Quite literally could not have asked for a better way to celebrate my birthday. This infamous boat party was everything it was made out to be and more.

Carpe Diem, Hvar
Following the Crew Boat Party, this beach club is the perfect destination for the after party. Overlooking the swimming pool and the Adriatic, Carpe Diem will always remain a favourite part of every individuals week.

The boat pool, Adriatic
Being part of a 50 boat pool in the middle of the Adriatic was surreal to say the least. The calm, clear sea turned into pure madness with music, inflatables, paint, confetti and dancing for an afternoon.

Fort King George III, Vis
This fort is the ultimate party location. Built in 1812 and overlooking the great bay of Vis, this old fortress has been  transformed with illuminated bars, lanterns and coloured lights which all lie beneath the ancient pine trees.

If you want to experience the journey of your life, you need to go on Yacht Week.
With crystal clear water, fresh winds, regattas and yacht parties, it's impossible not to love Yacht Week.

So gather your friends, choose a destination and find a yacht.
